1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Edward Hennessy of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, will celebrate
8 the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Edward Hennessy and Mary Hennessy were united in
10 holy matrimony on November 25, 1950 at Our Lady Help of
11 Christian in Chicago, Illinois; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Mark Hennessy,
13 Michael Hennessy, Debra Patel, and Kevin Hennessy; and the
14 grandparents of Christopher, Gregory, Noreen, and Tyler; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Edward and Mary
17 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, Edward and Mary stand as examples of the best of
19 our society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
20 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
21 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
22 world; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Edward and Mary Hennessy on the occasion of
26 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
27 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
28 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
29 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
30 further
