1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, James W. Smirles, Jack Mabley, Thomas E. Smith,
3 and Paul H. Thomas served as Glenview's Centennial Committee
4 Co-Chairs; and
5 WHEREAS, They have all performed outstanding services
6 toward the betterment of Glenview over many years; and
7 WHEREAS, The committee planned events from November 25,
8 1998 through July 10, 1999 to celebrate Glenview's
9 Centennial; and
10 WHEREAS, James W. Smirles, Jack Mabley, Thomas E. Smith,
11 and Paul H. Thomas made outstanding contributions and
12 unselfish devotion in planning Glenview's Centennial
13 Celebration; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16 we support the efforts of the Committee and recognize them as
17 Community Leaders Extraordinaire; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
19 presented to James W. Smirles, Jack Mabley, Thomas E. Smith,
20 and Paul H. Thomas.
