1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Neil V. Birchler, Coroner of Randolph County,
6 was recently elected President of the Illinois Association of
7 County Officials (IACO); the election was held during the
8 fall conference of IACO; and
9 WHEREAS, Neil V. Birchler served as President of the
10 Illinois Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners in
11 1989 and ICMEA treasurer from 1992 through 1999; he has been
12 a member of the Board of Directors of IACO since 1990; and
13 WHEREAS, Neil V. Birchler was first elected to the
14 position of Coroner in 1984 and will be seeking a fifth term
15 in 2000; he and his wife, Pamela, live in Chester, Illinois;
16 and
17 WHEREAS, Neil V. Birchler is the son of former State
18 Representative Vincent Birchler; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate Neil V. Birchler on being elected President
22 of the Illinois Association of County Officials; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Neil V. Birchler, along with our sincere
26 regards.
