1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and
3 Industry has announced that Caterpillar's Hydraulic and
4 Fabrications Business Unit (HFBU) is the recipient of the
5 Chamber's 2000 "Salute to Industry" award; and
6 WHEREAS, The award will be presented at a business
7 celebration dinner on January 18, 2000; and
8 WHEREAS, The Chamber annually honors a local business
9 that is a major job provider in the Joliet area; and
10 WHEREAS, Caterpillar's Hydraulic and Fabrications
11 Business Unit (HFBU) will be the first recipient to receive
12 the award twice, the first time being in 1979; the plant
13 opened in 1951 and currently employs 2,000 people; and
14 WHEREAS, Caterpillar's Hydraulic and Fabrications
15 Business Unit (HFBU) is a longtime part of the Joliet area,
16 celebrating fifty years of making quality products;
17 therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we congratulate Caterpillar's Hydraulic and Fabrications
21 Business Unit (HFBU) on receiving the Salute to Industry
22 Award from the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Caterpillar's Hydraulic and Fabrications
26 Business Unit (HFBU).
