1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestones in the
4 State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Danville Steel and Mervis Industries recently
6 received a 1999 Vermilion County Business of Distinction
7 award, in the medium employer category, from the Danville
8 Area Economic Development Corporation, based upon
9 achievements in quality improvements, growth,
10 employee/employer relations, community involvement, and
11 problem solving initiatives; and
12 WHEREAS, Danville Steel and Mervis Industries are
13 committed to the City of Danville; through their community
14 involvement and their willingness to work with the city they
15 have shown why they deserve this award; and
16 WHEREAS, The City of Danville has declared November 1-7,
17 1999 as Danville Steel and Mervis Industries Week in the
18 community; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate Danville Steel and Mervis Industries on
22 receiving the 1999 Vermilion County Business of Distinction
23 award from the Danville Area Economic Development
24 Corporation; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to a representative of Danville Steel and Mervis
27 Industries, along with our sincere regards.
