1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of people of the State; and
5 WHEREAS, Carl Dewayne Welton was recently named Paramedic
6 of the Year by St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Medical Services
7 Systems in Decatur, Illinois; and
8 WHEREAS, Carl Welton was selected out of a field of 100
9 individuals for this honor; he has been an EMS for 10 years,
10 serving the last 5 years as a paramedic; he volunteers in
11 nearby communities, teaches numerous classes, and helps in
12 preparation for the First Responders; and
13 WHEREAS, Carl's wife, Cathy, is an EMT-I, his brothers,
14 Doug and David, are paramedics, and his sister, Lori, and
15 mother, LeaAnn, have both served as EMTs; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Carl Welton on being named Paramedic of the
19 Year; we wish him the best as he enjoys this honor, along
20 with his wife, Cathy, and his son, Devin; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Carl Welton, along with our sincere regards.
