1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Elmer Lutz, Jr. of Findlay will celebrate the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Elmer Lutz, Jr. and the former Wilma Rose Randol
10 were united in holy matrimony on October 2, 1949 in Benton
11 Harbor, Michigan; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of three children
13 and the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren and one
14 great-grandchild; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Elmer and Wilma
17 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, They stand as examples of the best of our
19 society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
20 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
21 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
22 world; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lutz, Jr., on the occasion
26 of their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them
27 for achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with
28 children and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that
29 we wish them happiness and good health in the future; and be
30 it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
