1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The Italian American Labor Council of Greater
6 Chicago has honored Frank J. Wsol by naming him their Person
7 of the Year; the event will be held at the IALC's Person of
8 the Year Annual Dinner Dance, held at Manzo's Banquets in Des
9 Plaines, Illinois, on October 15, 1999; and
10 WHEREAS, Frank J. Wsol served his country in the United
11 States Air Force in Japan and Korea in the mid-1940's; he and
12 his wife, Florence, spend their free time with their sons and
13 grandchildren; and
14 WHEREAS, Frank J. Wsol has served with the Teamsters
15 since 1946, when he became a member of Local No. 761; he
16 became a member of I.B.T. Local No. 710 while driving a meat
17 delivery truck in 1951; he was appointed organizer in 1966 by
18 John T. (Sandy) O'Brien; he was promoted to business agent in
19 1971 by William D. Joyce; and
20 WHEREAS, In 1981 Mr. Wsol was appointed Vice President;
21 in 1992 he was nominated President of Local No. 710; in 1993
22 he was appointed Secretary-Treasurer; Mr. Wsol has served as
23 trustee of the Local No. 710 Health, Welfare, and Pension
24 funds and was chairman of those funds in June of 1993; and
25 WHEREAS, Frank Wsol has served as chairman of the
26 Illinois Joint State Grievance Committee, the Meat, MCLAC,
27 and Yellow Freight Grievance Committee, and the I.B.T.
28 National Grievance Committee; he is a member of the All
29 Teamster Neer-Goudie American Legion Post No. 846; he also
30 serves on the Board of Directors for Children's Advocacy
31 Center and the Little City Foundation in Palatine, Illinois;

1 therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 we congratulate Frank J. Wsol on being named the Person of
5 the Year by the Italian American Labor Council of Greater
6 Chicago; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to Frank J. Wsol, along with our sincere regards.
