1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that
3 Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School students belonging to an
4 Odyssey of the Mind team took top honors and won the
5 EnvirOmental Challenge division world title; and
6 WHEREAS, Odyssey of the Mind is a program that involves
7 creative problem solving and working in groups; and
8 WHEREAS, Led and inspired by their coach, Jeannine
9 Patterson, along with her husband, Charles, the team members
10 are: senior, Ryan Frohock; juniors, Lynsey Hart, Manda Paige,
11 and Derek Galyen; and freshmen, Chelsea Spurlock and James
12 Chandler; and
13 WHEREAS, The team took first place against fifty-four
14 United States and international teams; and
15 WHEREAS, Principal Pat Noggle, as well as the faculty,
16 staff, students, and parents of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High
17 School and all the people of Illinois, are proud of this
18 great team; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we offer our sincere congratulations to Jeannine and Charles
22 Patterson, Ryan Frohock, Lynsey Hart, Manda Paige, Derek
23 Galyen, Chelsea Spurlock, and James Chandler for winning the
24 EnvirOmental Challenge division of the Odyssey of the Mind
25 competition; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
27 presented to each person mentioned above.
