 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  wish  to  extend their sincere sympathies to
 4    the family and friends  of  Charles  Augustus  Anderson,  who
 5    recently passed away; and

 6        WHEREAS,   Charles   Anderson  was  born  in  Appalachia,
 7    Virginia, on July 20, 1928; his parents  were  Ruth  Virginia
 8    and Nelson James Anderson, Sr.; and

 9        WHEREAS,  At  twelve  years  of age, Charles Anderson was
10    raised by his aunt, Elizabeth Adams, Director of Music at the
11    Georgia State Industrial College in Savannah, Georgia; and

12        WHEREAS, Charles Anderson graduated from  the  East  High
13    School in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1945; later that year he moved
14    to  Chicago  to  live  with  his  uncle, Prince McKissack; he
15    attended barber college and became  a  registered  barber  in
16    1956; in 1987 he was united in marriage to Doris Darring; and

17        WHEREAS, Charles Anderson is survived by his wife, Doris;
18    his  sister,  Ruth  Williams;  his brothers, Nelson, Jr., and
19    Joseph; his daughter, Sharon L. Osbourne; his  son,  Michael;
20    his  stepsons,  Paul  (Danielle)  Darring  and  Wayne (Diane)
21    Darring; his grandchildren, Kristen Anderson,  Lloyd  Nobles,
22    Asia   Campbell,   Jennifer   Darring,   Paul   Darring,  and
23    Christopher Darring;  his  great-grandchildren,  Destiny  and
24    Dontae  Anderson, DeAndra Buford, and Paris Campbell; and his
25    many friends and business associates; therefore, be it

26        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
27    NINETY-FIRST  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28    we mourn, along with his family and  friends,  the  death  of
29    Charles Anderson; may they find comfort in this time of need;
30    and be it further

31        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be

 2    respect.
