1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of this Body that
3 the John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 of the Veterans of Foreign
4 Wars is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year on May 20,
5 1999; and
6 WHEREAS, The national Veterans of Foreign Wars is
7 celebrating its 100th anniversary this year; and
8 WHEREAS, In addition to its involvement with veterans'
9 rights and programs, the Post has actively participated in
10 community projects with the elderly, schools, youth, safety,
11 and patriotism; and
12 WHEREAS, The Ladies Auxiliary of John Hugo Kaiser Post
13 1461 actively helps in all projects; and
14 WHEREAS, The Veterans of Foreign Wars is worthy of our
15 highest praise; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 of the Veterans of
19 Foreign Wars on the occasion of its 65th anniversary; that we
20 commend the members of the Post for the many years they have
21 devoted to veterans and community affairs; and extend our
22 sincere best wishes for the future; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the Commander of John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461.
