1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Charles
6 Swanson has announced his retirement as a teacher with the
7 Libertyville Community High School District 128 after
8 twenty-seven years of dedicated service as a graphic arts,
9 industrial arts, and auto teacher; from 1972 to 1979 he
10 served as the freshmen football coach; he was also involved
11 in the Graphics Communications Club; and
12 WHEREAS, He was the Illinois Technology Education Teacher
13 of the Year in 1990; he is listed in the Who's Who of
14 American High School Teachers; and
15 WHEREAS, Charles Swanson is a member of the Illinois
16 Technology Education Association, served as president and
17 secretary of the Graphic Arts Teacher's Association of
18 Illinois, served as president and member of the Salary
19 Committee of the Teacher's Association, and served on many
20 district committees; therefore be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate Charles Swanson for twenty-seven years of
24 outstanding service in teaching, that we commend him for his
25 dedication to education and to his students, and that we
26 extend to him our sincere best wishes for the future; and be
27 it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to Charles Swanson.
