1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Carol Sheahan
6 has announced her retirement as a teacher with the Gurnee
7 School District 56 after twenty-three years of dedicated
8 service as a teacher, nineteen of which were spent in the
9 Gurnee School District; and
10 WHEREAS, Carol Sheahan taught twelve years at Gurnee
11 Grade School and seven years at O'Plaine School; she served
12 as Student Service Council Sponsor and was a member of the
13 Math Committee; and
14 WHEREAS, Her wise counsel and advice was a great
15 influence on her students, and she soon earned the respect
16 and affection of students, teachers, principals, and staff;
17 and
18 WHEREAS, Carol Sheahan has contributed in many ways to
19 the Gurnee School District and its students; therefore be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we congratulate Carol Sheahan for twenty-three years of
23 outstanding service in teaching, that we commend her for her
24 dedication to her profession and to her students, and that we
25 extend to her our sincere best wishes for the future; and be
26 it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to her as an expression of our respect and esteem.
