1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Marion Smith of Chicago has announced her
3 retirement as a crossing guard in Chicago for twenty-eight
4 years; and
5 WHEREAS, She is married, has eight children, and seven
6 grandchildren; she has been a crossing guard for St. Pius V
7 School for seventeen years; and
8 WHEREAS, Marion Smith is known as courteous and
9 dependable; she contributed greatly to her community and the
10 State; therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 we congratulate Marion Smith on twenty-eight years of
14 outstanding service as a crossing guard, that we commend her
15 for her commitment to public service, and that we wish her
16 happiness in her retirement; and be it further
17 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to her as an expression of our esteem.
