1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are happy to recognize
3 the excellence of young athletes; and
4 WHEREAS, Fenwick High School won two State titles in the
5 Illinois Swimming Association State water polo championships
6 with both the boys and girls teams winning, after finishing
7 as runners-up for the past two seasons; and
8 WHEREAS, The boys team took first place with a score of
9 8-7 over Brother Rice High School, finishing the season with
10 a record of 28-0, while the girls won 10-9, beating the Maria
11 High School girls' team and ending the season with 16-7-2
12 record; and
13 WHEREAS, Coaches Dave Perry and Kelli Billish-Fitter, as
14 well as the faculty, students, and parents of Fenwick High
15 School, should be proud of the dedication and ability of the
16 young men and women who are members of these teams;
17 therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we congratulate the Fenwick High School water polo teams on
21 winning the Illinois Swimming Association State water polo
22 championship and that we commend the coaches on their
23 leadership; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
25 presented to each of the coaches and to the Principal of the
26 school.
