1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of its citizens; and
5 WHEREAS, The Rogers Park Community Council recently
6 announced the 1999 recipients for the Spirit of Rogers Park
7 Award; the forty-seven year old Community Council developed
8 categories this year for the award; nominations for the
9 awards were received from residents of Rogers Park for
10 individuals who reflect the "Spirit of Rogers Park" through
11 their actions and deeds; and
12 WHEREAS, The categories were Art, Business, Education,
13 Community Safety, Community Council, Good Neighbor, Helping,
14 Investment, Leadership, Partnership, Volunteerism, and Youth;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, All the award recipients will be honored at a
17 Spirit Brunch on May 16, 1999; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we congratulate all the recipients of the 1999 Spirit of
21 Rogers Park Award; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to the Rogers Park Community Council.
