1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Kelvyn Park High
4 School Drum & Bugle Corps on winning first place in the 1999
5 JROTC City-wide Drum & Bugle Corps Competition; and
6 WHEREAS, Music instructor Allegra Podrovsky and Principal
7 Diana Hernandez-Azcoitia have directed this hard working
8 group of men and women to their 11th victory; and
9 WHEREAS, The Kelvyn Park High School Drum & Bugle Corps
10 placed ahead of 11 other Chicago area high schools to win the
11 competition; through hard work and discipline, these students
12 show the pride they have in their high school; and
13 WHEREAS, The students who make up the Kelvyn Park High
14 School Drum & Bugle Corps are: Edwin Aviles, Lucia Carrasco,
15 Carlos Giles, Joshua Muniz, Gerardo Pelayo, Jaime Sandoval,
16 Cecilio Trejo, Angelo Villalobos, Luis Bonilla, Martin Colin,
17 Wilson Gonzalez, Jovan Muniz, Constantino Perez, Stephen
18 Solis, Alma Vasquez, David Campuzano, Jennifer Domingo,
19 Johntuanay Johnson, Carlos Pedraza, Madeline Quinones, Leo
20 Sotelo, Hector Velasquez, Jose Candelario, Elizabeth Farias,
21 Raquel Marcial, Elvin Pedraza, Yuliana Ramirez, Edwin Torres,
22 and Miguel Vera; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate the hard working and dedicated team of the
26 Kelvyn Park High School Drum & Bugle Corps on their many
27 victories in competition; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to the Kelvyn Park High School Drum & Bugle Corps.
