1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Mabel Lou Weber on her
4 retirement; and
5 WHEREAS, Mabel Lou Weber served as Village Trustee for
6 the Village of Antioch from November 19, 1979 to May of 1981;
7 she then served again from May 2, 1983 to May 3, 1999, when
8 she will retire; and
9 WHEREAS, Mabel Lou Weber has served as the Chairman of
10 the Utilities Committee during her entire length of service;
11 she has also served on the Redevelopment Committee, the
12 Independence Day Committee, and will ride as the Parade
13 Marshall in the 1999 Independence Day Celebration Parade; and
14 WHEREAS, Mabel Lou Weber has also sang with the community
15 choir, and been a member of the Woman's Club; she has shown
16 her community pride through her dedication and hard work in
17 all her endeavors; and
18 WHEREAS, Upon her retirement, we acknowledge that it
19 takes many people to effectively run a community, but we also
20 acknowledge the determination of one person; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate Mabel Lou Weber on her retirement as Village
24 Trustee of the Village of Antioch; may she enjoy her future
25 and whatever it brings her way; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Mabel Lou Weber, along with our sincere regards.
