1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Corrine Rose, president
4 of the Waukegan Park District Board, on her retirement; and
5 WHEREAS, Corrine Rose has worked for the Waukegan Park
6 District for 32 years; she served as Executive Director until
7 1986, when she retired from that position; she made a
8 decision to run for the board and served two terms, running
9 unopposed; and
10 WHEREAS, Corrine Rose was born and raised in Waukegan;
11 she attended Immaculate Conception School and Holy Child High
12 School; she married Charles "Bud" Rose in 1950; and
13 WHEREAS, In addition to her duties with the Park
14 District, Ms. Rose works with the Waukegan Township as
15 Chairperson for Senior Services; in her spare time she likes
16 traveling, collecting David Winter Cottages, being outside,
17 and doing yard work; she also enjoys spending time with her
18 four daughters and two granddaughters; and
19 WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Corrine Rose has worked to
20 acquire more land for the Park District, overseen the City
21 Recreation Department as it was given to the District, and
22 continued to build and expand the District to meet the
23 changing needs of the Waukegan area; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Corrine Rose on a job well done; through her
27 efforts, the Waukegan Park District has and will continue to
28 provide many years of entertainment value to the community;
29 and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
31 presented to Corrine Rose, along with our sincere regards.
