1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, This Body is pleased and honored to recognize
3 the William M. Hadley Junior High School Student Council for
4 its outstanding work; and
5 WHEREAS, The Council has made a number of outstanding
6 efforts in maintaining the school's paper recycling program,
7 supporting the recognition of individual students during
8 their Pep Rally, is one of the leading sources of donations
9 for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, and actively supports the
10 District's Safe & Drug-Free initiatives through leadership
11 events like Activity Nights and the Peer Mediation effort;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, They also raise money for a number of area
14 charities through homeroom sales and have continued to
15 support the Social Studies Department's Student Government
16 Day; and
17 WHEREAS, All in all, the Student Council has earned the
18 respect of the entire school and is worthy of our
19 recognition; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we join with the faculty, staff, and students of William M.
23 Hadley Junior High School in honoring the Student Council and
24 thank them for a year of good work; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the Principal of the school on behalf of the
27 Student Council.
