1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Harold and
7 Elsie Hittmeier of Mt. Olive will celebrate the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Harold and Elsie Hittmeier were united in holy
10 matrimony on July 2, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church in
11 Litchfield; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Linda, Karl,
13 Bill, and Ed Hittmeier and the proud grandparents of four
14 grandchildren; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Harold and Elsie
17 Hittmeier celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, Harold and Elsie Hittmeier stand as examples of
19 the best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
20 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
21 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
22 difference in today's world; therefore be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Harold and Elsie Hittmeier on the occasion of
26 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
27 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
28 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
29 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
30 further
