1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Dale E. Quinn of Litchfield, Illinois, will celebrate the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Dale Quinn and the former Betty Randle were
10 united in holy matrimony on March 3, 1949, at Union Avenue
11 Christian Church in Litchfield; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Dennis Dale
13 (Andrea) Quinn, Lois Elaine (David) Ziegler, Randle Edward
14 (Lela) Quinn, Rebecca Jane (George) Mehochko, Timothy Patrick
15 (fiancee Elisabeth Dixon) Quinn, and Kelly Wayne (Janet)
16 Quinn; and the grandparents of Jason, Justin, Edward, Joseph,
17 and Rebekah Quinn, and Brandon, Aaron, and Zackariah Quinn;
18 and
19 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
20 highest plateaus when a couple such as Dale and Betty
21 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
22 WHEREAS, Dale and Betty Quinn stand as examples of the
23 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
24 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
25 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
26 difference in today's world; therefore be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we congratulate Dale and Betty Quinn on the occasion
30 of their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them
31 for achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with

1 children and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that
2 we wish them happiness and good health in the future; and be
3 it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
