1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Many State agencies (as defined in Section 1-7
3 of the Illinois State Auditing Act) collect fees, charges,
4 and tolls that are for the purpose of offsetting the costs of
5 providing services; and
6 WHEREAS, those fees, charges, and tolls should
7 substantially reflect actual costs; therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-
9 FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the
10 Auditor General is directed to study all fees, charges, and
11 tolls charged by State agencies for services and to compare
12 the cost of the services provided with the income from fees,
13 charges, and tolls; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, that the Auditor General shall report its
15 findings to the General Assembly no later than January 10,
16 2000; and be it further
17 RESOLVED, that suitable copies of this resolution be
18 delivered to the Auditor General and to the directors of all
19 State agencies.
