1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Alfred Ideus of rural St. Joseph celebrated the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Alfred and Lorine Ideus were united in holy
10 matrimony on January 5, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
11 Flatville; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Marvin Ideus,
13 Nancy Olson, and the late Dale Ideus and the proud
14 grandparents of six grandchildren; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Alfred and Lorine
17 Ideus celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, Alfred and Lorine Ideus stand as examples of the
19 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
20 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
21 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
22 difference in today's world; therefore be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ideus on the occasion of
26 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
27 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
28 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
29 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
30 further
