1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor citizens of the State of
4 Illinois who make us proud; and
5 WHEREAS, John Bowlby of Centralia, Illinois is one such
6 individual; Mr. Bowlby is the night manager of the Burger
7 King Restaurant in Centralia and is to be commended for a
8 good deed; and
9 WHEREAS, Cheryl Mason Thompson of Vienna, Illinois
10 stopped at the Centralia restaurant to rest and relax after a
11 trip to Springfield; she accidentally left her purse in the
12 establishment, and was surprised to find all the contents
13 intact when she located it later at the restaurant; and
14 WHEREAS, Through the honesty and selflessness of the
15 Burger King night manager and employees, Cheryl Mason
16 Thompson was able to see that there are still decent and
17 caring people in the world; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we salute John Bowlby and the staff of Burger King in
21 Centralia, Illinois for their honesty; they are good examples
22 of Central Illinois at its best; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to John Bowlby and the staff of the Centralia
25 Burger King.
