1 AN ACT concerning public health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Health District Act is amended by
5 changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (70 ILCS 905/1) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 1)
7 Sec. 1. Territory to be organized as a public health
8 district. Any town, or 2 two or more adjacent towns in a
9 county under township organization, or any road district, or
10 2 two or more road districts in a county not under township
11 organization, may be organized into a public health district,
12 provided that the total population to be served by the such
13 public health district is not less than 75,000. Any town or
14 road district may become a part of an existing public health
15 district.
