1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Educational Labor Relations
2 Act by adding Section 10.5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act
6 is amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:
7 (115 ILCS 5/10.5 new)
8 Sec. 10.5. Consolidation of school districts;
9 nonprofessional employees. The collective bargaining
10 agreement for any nonprofessional educational employees of a
11 school district that is consolidating with another school
12 district shall remain in effect until a new collective
13 bargaining agreement has been negotiated.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
15 July 1, 2000.
