1 AN ACT to amend the Liquor Control Act of 1934 by
2 changing Section 1-2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by
6 changing Section 1-2 as follows:
7 (235 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 43, par. 94)
8 Sec. 1-2. Construction of Act. This Act shall be
9 liberally construed, to the end that the health, safety and
10 welfare of the People of the State of Illinois shall be
11 protected and temperance in the consumption of alcoholic
12 liquors shall be fostered and promoted by sound and careful
13 control and regulation of the manufacture, sale and
14 distribution of alcoholic liquors.
