 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4045

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  4045  on  page  4,
 3    line  22  and page 9, line 18 by changing ""Sex" each time it
 4    appears to "Except as otherwise provided in paragraph  (2.5),
 5    "sex"; and

 6    on  page  5, by inserting between lines 31 and 32 and on page
 7    10, by inserting between lines 28 and 29 the following:
 8             "(2.5)  For the purposes of subsection (b-5) only, a
 9        sex offense means:
10                  (i)  A  violation  of  any  of  the   following
11             Sections of the Criminal Code of 1961:
12                       10-5(b)(10)  (child  luring), 10-7 (aiding
13                  and  abetting  child  abduction  under  Section
14                  10-5(b)(10)), 11-6 (indecent solicitation of  a
15                  child),  11-6.5  (indecent  solicitation  of an
16                  adult),  11-15.1  (soliciting  for  a  juvenile
17                  prostitute),  11-17.1  (keeping  a   place   of
18                  juvenile  prostitution), 11-18.1 (patronizing a
19                  juvenile   prostitute),    11-19.1    (juvenile
20                  pimping),  11-19.2  (exploitation  of a child),
21                  11-20.1 (child pornography), 12-14.1 (predatory
22                  criminal sexual assault of a child),  or  12-33
23                  (ritualized  abuse  of a child).  An attempt to

 1                  commit any of these offenses.
 2                  (ii)  A  violation  of  any  of  the  following
 3             Sections of the Criminal  Code  of  1961,  when  the
 4             victim  is  a  person  under  18 years of age: 12-13
 5             (criminal   sexual   assault),   12-14   (aggravated
 6             criminal sexual assault), 12-16 (aggravated criminal
 7             sexual abuse), and subsection (a) of  Section  12-15
 8             (criminal  sexual  abuse).  An attempt to commit any
 9             of these offenses.
10                  (iii)  A violation  of  any  of  the  following
11             Sections  of  the  Criminal  Code  of 1961, when the
12             victim is a person under 18 years  of  age  and  the
13             defendant is not a parent of the victim:
14                  10-1 (kidnapping),
15                  10-2 (aggravated kidnapping),
16                  10-3 (unlawful restraint),
17                  10-3.1 (aggravated unlawful restraint).
18                  An attempt to commit any of these offenses.
19                  (iv)  A  violation  of  any  former law of this
20             State substantially equivalent to any offense listed
21             in this paragraph (2.5) of this subsection.".
