1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4025
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 4025 on page 1,
3 line 19, after "who" by inserting "knowingly"; and
4 on page 1, line 22, by replacing "be paid" with "escheat to";
5 and
6 on page 1, line 23, by deleting "into"; and
7 on page 1, line 25, after "who", by inserting "knowingly";
8 and
9 on page 1, by inserting the following after line 30:
10 "(d) No candidate, political committee, or public
11 official shall be deemed to be in violation of this Section
12 if the candidate, political committee, or public official
13 returns a contribution otherwise in violation of this Section
14 to its contributor within 5 business days of receiving it.
15 (e) The Board shall, by rule, devise a method of
16 determining when a contribution has been received.".
