1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Sections
2 10-20.34 and 34-18.21.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
6 10-20.34 and 34-18.21 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.34 new)
8 Sec. 10-20.34. Student use of school computers.
9 (a) The school board shall implement and require schools
10 to administer a policy that provides for the supervision of
11 students using computers that are located at a school and
12 that have access to the Internet. The State Board of
13 Education shall withhold any State funds to be paid to the
14 school district until this policy is implemented.
15 (b) The school board shall require all computers located
16 at a school that are used by students to be equipped with
17 software that prevents students from gaining access to
18 inappropriate materials.
