91_HB3979eng HB3979 Engrossed LRB9111653DHgc 1 AN ACT to amend the Airport Authorities Act by changing 2 Section 8.04. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Airport Authorities Act is amended by 6 changing Section 8.04 as follows: 7 (70 ILCS 5/8.04) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 68.8-04) 8 Sec. 8.04. To fix, charge and collect reasonable 9 rentals, tolls, fees, and charges for the use of any public 10 airport, or any part thereof, or any public airport facility. 11 An airport authority incorporated in a county under 3,000,000 12 in population may additionally impose a consolidated user 13 facility charge upon customers of rental car agencies for the 14 purpose of financing, designing, or constructing joint-use 15 care rental facilities; provided, however, that such 16 consolidated user facility charge is collected by the rental 17 car agency as part of the rental rate and not as a separate 18 charge in addition to the rental rate. In the event of a 19 conflict between the provisions of this Section relating to 20 such consolidated user facility charges and Section 6-305 of 21 the Illinois Vehicle Code, the provisions of this Section 22 shall prevail. 23 (Source: P.A. 76-968.)
