1 AN ACT to amend the Income Withholding for Support Act by
2 changing Section 60.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Income Withholding for Support Act is
6 amended by changing Section 60 as follows:
7 (750 ILCS 28/60)
8 Sec. 60. Remedies in addition to other laws.
9 (a) The rights, remedies, duties and penalties created
10 by this Act are in addition to and not in substitution for
11 any other rights, remedies, duties and penalties created by
12 any other law.
13 (b) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to invalidate
14 as invalidating any assignment of wages or benefits executed
15 prior to January 1, 1984 (or July 1, 1985 with respect to
16 invalidity under the Illinois Parentage Act of 1984) or any
17 order for withholding served prior to July 1, 1997.
