1 AN ACT to amend the Railroad Bridge Act by changing
2 Section 1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Railroad Bridge Act is amended by
6 changing Section 1 as follows:
7 (610 ILCS 40/1) (from Ch. 114, par. 45)
8 Sec. 1. Railroad bridges. Railroads terminating, or to
9 terminate at any point on any line of continuous railroad
10 thoroughfare where there now is or shall be a railroad bridge
11 for crossing of passengers and freight in cars over the same
12 as part of such thoroughfare, shall make convenient
13 connections of such railroads, by rail, with the rail of such
14 bridge; and such bridge shall permit and cause such
15 connections of the rail of the same with the rail of such
16 railroads so that by reason of said railroads and bridge,
17 there shall be uninterrupted communication over such
18 railroads and bridge as public thoroughfares. But by such
19 connections no corporate rights shall be impaired.
