1 AN ACT in relation to firearms.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Firearm Owners Identification Card Act is
5 amended by changing Section 9 as follows:
6 (430 ILCS 65/9) (from Ch. 38, par. 83-9)
7 Sec. 9. Denial of application for Firearm Owner's
8 Identification Card; revocation of Card. Every person whose
9 application for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card is
10 denied, and every holder of such a Card before his or her
11 Card is revoked or seized, shall receive a written notice
12 from the Department of State Police stating specifically the
13 grounds upon which his or her application has been denied or
14 upon which his or her Identification Card has been revoked.
