1 AN ACT to amend the Sex Offender Registration Act.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Sex Offender Registration Act is amended
5 by changing Section 12 as follows:
6 (730 ILCS 150/12)
7 Sec. 12. Access to State of Illinois databases. The
8 Department of State Police shall have access to State of
9 Illinois databases containing information that may help in
10 the identification or location of persons required to
11 register under this Article. Interagency agreements shall be
12 implemented, consistent with security and procedures
13 established by the State agency and consistent with the laws
14 governing the confidentiality of the information in the
15 databases. Any information shall be used only for
16 administration of this Article.
