1 AN ACT regarding health facilities.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 145 as follows:

9 Sec. 145. Conversion of facilities; exemption from
10 review. Entities licensed as facilities under the Nursing
11 Home Care Act may elect to convert to a license under this
12 Act. Any facility that chooses to convert, in whole or in
13 part, shall follow the requirements in the Nursing Home Care
14 Act and rules promulgated under that Act regarding voluntary
15 closure and notice to residents. Any conversion of existing
16 beds licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act to licensure
17 under this Act is exempt from review by the Health Facilities
18 Planning Board.
