1 AN ACT to amend the Nursing Home Care Act by adding
2 Section 3-202.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by
6 adding Section 3-202.2 as follows:
7 (210 ILCS 45/3-202.2 new)
8 Sec. 3-202.2. Exit alarms. A facility shall equip all
9 entrances to the facility with motion-activated alarms. The
10 Department shall issue rules establishing the minimum
11 standards for entrance alarms for facilities.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.
