1 AN ACT in relation to counties.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The County Jail Act is amended by changing
5 Section 2 as follows:
6 (730 ILCS 125/2) (from Ch. 75, par. 102)
7 Sec. 2. Sheriff as warden. The Sheriff of each county
8 in this State shall be the warden of the jail of the county,
9 and have the custody of all prisoners in the jail, except
10 when otherwise provided in the "County Department of
11 Corrections Act".
