1 AN ACT to amend the Property Tax Code by changing Section
2 21-170.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
6 Section 21-170 as follows:
7 (35 ILCS 200/21-170)
8 Sec. 21-170. Report of payments and corrections. On the
9 day that on which application for judgment on delinquent
10 property is applied for, the collector, assisted by the
11 county clerk, shall post all payments, compare and correct
12 the list, and shall make and subscribe an affidavit, which
13 shall be substantially in the following form:

16 County of .......)
17 I ...., collector of the county of ...., do solemnly
18 swear (or affirm, as the case may be), that the foregoing is
19 a true and correct list of the delinquent property within the
20 county of ...., upon which I have been unable to collect the
21 taxes (and special assessments, interest, and printer's fees,
22 if any), charged thereon, as required by law, for the year or
23 years therein set forth; and that the taxes now remain due
24 and unpaid, to the best of my knowledge and belief.

26 The affidavit shall be entered at the end of the list,
27 and signed by the collector.
