1 AN ACT concerning the National Guard.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Military Code of Illinois is amended by
5 changing Section 24.1 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 1805/24.1) (from Ch. 129, par. 220.24-1)
7 Sec. 24.1. The Adjutant General is authorized to
8 negotiate and enter into contracts on behalf of all civilian
9 employees of the Army National Guard and Air National Guard
10 under his or her jurisdiction for membership in an employee
11 retirement, disability or death benefits system, and
12 membership in a group health insurance program, and to enter
13 into agreements with the Secretary of Defense of the United
14 States of America for withholding sums from the compensation
15 of such civilian employees for contributions to such system
16 or program. The Adjutant General is also authorized to
17 designate who shall receive the sums withheld for
18 contributions to the system or program authorized by this
19 Section.
