1 AN ACT to amend the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 by
2 changing Section 3-13.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by
6 changing Section 3-13 as follows:
7 (705 ILCS 405/3-13) (from Ch. 37, par. 803-13)
8 Sec. 3-13. Medical and dental treatment and care. At all
9 times during temporary custody or shelter care, the court may
10 authorize a physician, a hospital or any other appropriate
11 health care provider to provide medical, dental or surgical
12 procedures if the such procedures are necessary to safeguard
13 the minor's life or health.
