1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by changing Section
2 1-4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
6 Section 1-4 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/1-4) (from Ch. 46, par. 1-4)
8 Sec. 1-4. Office hours for filing nomination petitions.
9 In any case in which this Act prescribes a period of time
10 within which petitions for nomination must be filed, the
11 office in which petitions must be filed shall remain open for
12 the receipt of the such petitions until 5:00 P.M. on the last
13 day of the filing period.
