1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2800
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2800 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Illinois Highway Code by changing
5 Section 4-508.1."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by
9 changing Section 4-508.1 as follows:
10 (605 ILCS 5/4-508.1) (from Ch. 121, par. 4-508.1)
11 Sec. 4-508.1. In the event the Department obtains or has
12 obtained fee simple title to, or any lesser interest in, any
13 land, rights or other property under the provisions of
14 Section 4-508 of this Code in connection with a project
15 involving the planned construction of a federal-aid highway
16 and that project ceases to be a federal-aid project, the
17 Department is authorized to convey title to, or any lesser
18 interest in, all such land, rights or property, regardless of
19 whether any construction has taken place, to the Illinois
20 State Toll Highway Authority for without compensation equal
21 to the fair market value of the title or lesser interest

1 conveyed when such conveyance is approved in writing by the
2 Governor. All moneys resulting from a conveyance under this
3 Section shall be deposited into the Road Fund.
