1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by adding Section 40.29.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 40.29 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 205/40.29 new)
8 Sec. 40.29. Biodiesel fuel research. The Department of
9 Agriculture shall, subject to appropriation, provide funding
10 to research the use as a motor fuel of biodiesel fuel that
11 consists of at least 20% soybean oil. The Department shall
12 provide information and assistance to diesel fuel producers,
13 distributors, retailers, and consumers concerning the
14 manufacture, sale, and use of biodiesel motor fuel consisting
15 of at least 20% soybean oil.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
