1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Economic Opportunity Act.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Economic Opportunity Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 625/1) (from Ch. 127, par. 2601)
7 Sec. 1. Policy. It is the policy of this State to help
8 develop the full potential of all of its citizens so that
9 they may live in decency and dignity, and contribute to the
10 strength of the State as a whole. To effect that
11 development, the employment of the resources of the private
12 sector of the economy is encouraged.
13 It is the purpose of this Act to strengthen, supplement
14 and coordinate efforts that further this policy.
