1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
6 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the
7 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Criminal
8 Justice Information Authority:

19 Section 3. The following named sums, or so much thereof
20 as may be necessary, are appropriated to the Illinois
21 Criminal Justice Information Authority for awards and grants
22 to state agencies:

27 Section 4. The following named sums, or so much thereof
28 as needed, are appropriated to the Illinois Criminal Justice
29 Information Authority for activities undertaken in support of
30 federal assistance programs administered by units of state
31 and local government and non-profit organizations:

5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated to the Illinois
7 Criminal Justice Information Authority for awards and grants
8 and other monies received from federal agencies, from other
9 units of government, and from private/not-for-profit
10 organizations for activities undertaken in support of
11 investigating issues in criminal justice and for undertaking
12 other criminal justice information projects:

18 Section 6. The following named amounts, or so much
19 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects

21 Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for awards,
22 grants and operational support to implement the Motor Vehicle
23 Theft Prevention Act:
24 Payable from the Motor Vehicle
25 Theft Prevention Trust Fund:

27 For other Ordinary and Contingent Expenses ... 179,300
28 For Awards and Grants to federal
29 and state agencies, units of local
30 government, corporations, and
31 neighborhood, community and business

2 by the Authority in support of the
3 Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act .......... 7,000,000

6 Section 7. The sum of $40,000,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Criminal Justice
8 Trust Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information
9 Authority for awards and grants to state agencies and units
10 of local government, to include operational activities and
11 programs undertaken by the Authority, in support of Federal
12 Crime Bill Initiatives.
13 Section 8. The following amounts, or so much thereof as
14 may be necessary, are appropriated to the Illinois Criminal
15 Justice Information Authority for awards and grants to state
16 agencies and units of local government, including operational
17 expenses of the Authority in support of the Juvenile
18 Accountability Incentive Block Grant program: Payable from
19 the General Revenue Fund ....................................$ 57,000
20 Payable from the Juvenile Accountability
21 Incentive Block Grant Trust Fund ........................... 8,770,400

23 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
24 July 1, 1999.
