1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2359
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2359 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Township Code by changing Section
5 250-5."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Township Code is amended by changing
9 Section 250-5 as follows:
10 (60 ILCS 1/250-5)
11 Sec. 250-5. Transfers between from general fund and to
12 general assistance fund. The township board may direct the
13 transfer of any amount from the township general fund to the
14 township general assistance fund that is not appropriated for
15 purposes other than general assistance and may provide for
16 paying into the general assistance fund any moneys received
17 by the township from any source other than taxes that can be
18 made available for general assistance purposes.
19 The township board may direct the transfer of any amount
20 from the township general assistance fund to the township
21 general fund if the amount transferred is used either for

1 support and maintenance of service programs for children
2 under 18 or for support and maintenance of service programs
3 for senior citizens over 60 years of age.
