 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the Township Code by changing Section
 2    250-5.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  Township  Code  is amended by changing
 6    Section 250-5 as follows:

 7        (60 ILCS 1/250-5)
 8        Sec. 250-5.  Transfers between from general fund  and  to
 9    general  assistance  fund.  The township board may direct the
10    transfer of any amount from the township general fund to  the
11    township general assistance fund that is not appropriated for
12    purposes  other  than  general assistance and may provide for
13    paying into the general assistance fund any  moneys  received
14    by  the township from any source other than taxes that can be
15    made available for general assistance purposes.
16        The township board may direct the transfer of any  amount
17    from  the  township  general  assistance fund to the township
18    general fund if the amount transferred  is  used  either  for
19    support  and  maintenance  of  service  programs for children
20    under 18 or for support and maintenance of  service  programs
21    for senior citizens over 60 years of age.
