1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Act on the Aging by changing
2 Section 3.05.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
6 changing Section 3.05 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 105/3.05) (from Ch. 23, par. 6103.05)
8 Sec. 3.05. Aged or senior citizen. "Aged" or "Senior
9 citizen" means a person of 55 years of age or older, or a
10 person nearing the age of 55 for whom opportunities for
11 employment and participation in community life are
12 unavailable or severely limited and who, as a result thereof,
13 has difficulty in maintaining self-sufficiency and
14 contributing to the life of the community.
